Location - particularly good and excellent really close to a shopping district and subways, taxi stand, and the illuminated Kyoto tower. Easy walk to Kyoto Porta. Large unit with 2 futons on a tatami area, a huge desk which was filthy behind, as for instance.

Nice building and rooms with extra bed. Japanese decoration in the rooms, magnificent location. Location so close to close to lots of station eateries and the famous Kyoto Tower and Kyoto trains and buses.
A little limited breakfast.

Very central place to stay, relatively cheap and very clean, friendly staff and speak ok english. Room is not big, but I good used to that in Japan. Free unlimited view on Tokyo Tower is a bonus!

The staff were friendly and co-operative. The rooms were clean and the whole environment was caring and committed to the clients.
More English speaking TV channels would have been appreciated.

Location. Being directly across the street from the Kyoto rail station and main bus terminal provided quick and easy access to the city and surrounding cities. We also appreciated the free passes we received to go up Kyoto tower and view the city from above.
Internet access was free, but via a plug-in modem device that provided slow connectivity. The modem also used the only convenient plug on the desk making plugging in a laptop at the same time (with a short power cable) very difficult.

excellent excellent location couldn't ask for a better one. JR station right across, shopping malls around it plus complimentary tower observatory ticket to the tower.

The hotel was extremely convenient to the Kyoto train station, so you don't have to drag your luggage very far, and you can catch a bus to anywhere in Kyoto from right outside the front door. Location is this hotel's best feature.
It's not a terribly affordable hotel, but location makes up for it, especially if you're only in town a short time.

The location was great for a travel and sightseeing base. Great for accessing public transport. Staff were helpful.
The beds were not particularly comfortable and the aircon was stuffy and too hot/drying even when turned off.

free ticket to the Kyoto Tower, very efficient service, rooms not too spacious, but spottlessly clean
Internet access only via modem (you get a box with modem and all cables from the reception) and comparatively slow

Totally recommend for a couple of nights
Spacious room, comfortable beds, with a great view of the station, and easy access to buses and the subway make for an ideal base to explore the area.
Not a single complaint.
